I am so disappointed, after i had the fresh air machine I was told that no, it was not warrantied, that you were only supposed to buy them from local dealers. I bought mine in 2008 online from alpine air. Now the power does not go off nor can I put the "away" setting on, I am moving and I need to get my house purified after many cats and some dogs.

I paid 739 dollars for this unit and I have an email from alpine air that I have a 3 year warranty, yet there is no phone number to call and I remember calling ecoquest before and being told the unit is illegal and I cannot get it serviced and it is not warrantied with them.

I cannot smell so I do not know if these units help the air in my house or not.

I do know that once I had all the cats in their playhouse and the dogs outside and I put the "away" setting on with the ecoquest, and a cat that had snuck back in cried from the upstairs window.....so I do know that cats do not like this setting! Luckily I heard him and was able to put him outside with the rest.

I have tried the product and determined that its just not worth the risks for me and my family. Ozone (03) is a has is a irritant to humans and their pets. The unstable molecules will cause a burning sensation to eyes and throat. My best advises to research. Every sales person has one at home and they love it, and they will dismiss the unhealthy claims. There is plenty of info available at the epa's website that warns of ozone generating air purifiers. Also these are slated to be banned for sale in California later this year. Check out the details for yourself and decide for yourself. My goal was to improve the indoor air quality for my family and this product did not fit the bill. The site lists the 60 top offending products as well as some that meet the regulation today. One other note on the company itself who has changed its name 3 times....hmmm

This unit costs way too much money, and doesn't last very long. The warranty lasts only a year, its lucky if the unit makes it a day past that. While it does a good job at deodorizing and cleaning air, it simply is not a product that will last. We had two different units go out of commission in short order. If they had a five or ten year warranty, then it might be worth it, if not for the hassle of trying to get it replaced every few months when it quits working again.

People seem to have a problem with this product based simply on the fact that it incorporates a plant. What a bizarre idea, they tell everyone, and yet neither of the people who has left reviews (on is of another model) have even tried the product! My mother just bought herself one of these and her allergies have vastly improved (she has severe allergies). I am ordering one today. My review is based on personal experience of the time I spent at my mother's while it was running. People seem to have serious issues with anything nature based claiming that only artificial things really work or are good for us. This product brings together the best of both worlds, natural and scientific (based on NASA technology). Why leave reviews if you haven't even tried it? I thought this was supposed to be a meritocracy, let experience = reviews.

just set up our first ANDREA with an Aloe Vera plant inside and am loving it... the fresh greenhouse-like smell that comes out (especially when you first turn it on) is great and it looks perfect in the corner of our front room. there's an adjustable fan and you can turn on the light for a super sci-fi effect at night - which makes it look like something out of "Sunshine". right now we're moving it around the house every few days - might buy a dedicated one just for the bedroom. only complaint is that it's not *quite* quiet enough to leave on next to your bed while you sleep, but then i'm a pretty light sleeper!

It comes assembled, but you need to disassemble to remove the packing. You would have to do this anyhow to clean it before first use, so this isn't a negative. Filled it with water and some anti-bacterial solution and turned it on. House went from 20% to 45% relative humidity within a day on medimum fan speed. The unit is upstairs in the largest part of a 3800 sq ft house. High fan speed is noisy. Medium is loud but bearable. Low is nearly silent. When you move air with a fan, you'll get noise. If you want a silent humidifier, you'll need to get one that is installed inline with your furnace/AC fan (spelled $$$).

Construction is basic... plastic. Some may say it's cheap, but I say it's easy to clean. Remove the fan housing (simply lift it off the base), remove the filter and you have a big plastic box that is easy to clean. I like it. Fan is also easy to access for cleaning.

I have another humidifier on it's way because I thought I would need two for a house this large. Probably could have gotten away with this one alone, but I'll run both on low fan speed and reduce the time they are on, indirectly increasing the life of each... I hope.

We have had this humidifier for about a month now and we are definitely pleased with the performance. The unit was easy to assemble (with my wife's help of course). It runs whisper quiet; we can barely hear it from 10 feet away and when the heat pump kicks on, I don't hear it at all. I like the basic, no frills dials; too much high-speed stuff means more to break. The 2.5 gal tank is easy to remove and fill while the unit is still running. We keep the humidity level rather high so we have to fill the tank twice in a 24 hour period. I recommend getting a large bottle of bacterio-static treatment fluid in a separate purchase; the small bottle provided lasts about 2-4 tank refills only. I recommend this product to everyone.

I purchased this box to be the client in a 600 ft wireless link between two building. After a week it is working fine and I have ordered another one.

Pros: Good output power. Good sensitivity in receive. Lots of features that other routers do not have. Very configurable. Fast tech support through email.

Cons: The user manual is long but the details were not sufficient for me to get it up and going. Lots of configurable settings with insufficient information on their function. The set-up "wizard" didn't help at all.

UPDATE: both units are connected with 9dB directional antennas. both boxes show a signal strength of -52dBm. Both boxes have been up and running for about a month now with no problems.

I've only had it a few days but so far I am 100% satisfied.

Background: I've had a wireless network set up in my home for several years. I had 802.11b equipment because that was the only choice at the time. I used an SMC access point (AP) and Netgear PC Cards, both of which have worked flawlessly (excepting the occasional spat with Windows over who gets to control the PC Card, which is par for the course). I chose Air802 product because I wanted to upgrade to 802.11g as well as improve the signal strength in my home, which offers several 'challenges' to wireless signals such as a large footprint and lots of walls, some of which are made of stone with a high iron content.

Setup: A first glance at the documentation is a bit daunting, even for one such as myself who is technically savvy. And truth be told it may be a bit much for the average Joe to set up the first time. But it really is amazing what this little thing can do, if you're willing to plow through the docs to figure out how to do it. Air802 very wisely sets the device up as a standard-issue wireless router by default, so it is feasible that one could plug it in and use it without _too_ much fussing around. Also the documentation for basic setup is very thorough. But this really is not the ideal device for the plug-it-in-and-go crowd. The upside is that its feature set is incredibly rich, certainly sufficient for enterprise use -- including such things as full SNMP accessibility. You really get your money's worth in terms of configurability and capability.

Operation: The Air802 AP-G250 claims to have a higher power output than other residential AP's. This is definitely true in my case. When compared to my SMC2655W, signal strength has at least doubled, including the far reaches of my house, places where I used to get very low signal or none at all. In addition, I can now run the microwave in the kitchen without interrupting network connectivity! This is a pretty severe test in my situation becuase the microwave sits directly in between the access point and the laptop in the kitchen. I'm very impressed with the power of this unit, to say the least. The antenna is external and removeable, so I may add a higher gain antenna just for the pure geek joy of it.

clif notes: A powerful little unit with an amazing feature set, but you may want to ply your favorite geek with a few of their favorite beverage to help you set it up.

I used this product to "borrow" my neighbors wifi signal. We got the signal in only the front room of our condo.... after installing the air802, it rebroadcast the wifi signal throughout the entire condo.... now i can use my labtop on the back lanai!!!!!!!!

This is only of the many functions of the unit... set up was alil trickey but with a 5min phonecall .... yes thats right a knowledgeable person named michael residing in the US gave me precise quick walkthrough in under 5 minutes. No waiting on the phone..... too good to be true ..... it pays to buy from a smaller company sometimes so it seems!!!

I live in a rural area of Eastern Washington and will eventually have FIOS available where I live, and in the meantime am not able to use Tower Internet like some of my neighbors, so was looking for a way to connect with open networks which are normally out of reach from our home and found this company. We now have a wireless network in our home using the 250 router in conjunction with a length of cable, an extenal Yagi antenna and a couple of other accessories (for our purposes we needed an antenna splitter as the router only has one connection for an antenna).

Later on when fiber optic cable makes internet available to our home, the 250 router will be great to have as it generates an excellent, flawless signal throughout our home.

Dealing with the company was an incredibly positive experience as my e-mails were promptly responded to with detailed, helpful information and the same salesperson was available each time I needed help with an order and later and more significantly, when I needed help setting up and configuring the equipment.

Great cooler. My cpu temperature was always 50-65F. (i7 extreme)

Now....temperature is between 37F-50F after installed Noctua cooler.

You will need a lot of space in pc case, cooler is big.

Also it's tricky to install ventilators when metal part is installed.

Installation took me about 30 minutes, including removal of motherboard.

Great product. It will be part of my next pc in the future.

After laying down my new rampageII motherboard and installing the I7 920 cpu. I started putting down the mounting piece and as you see it`s curved which is the problem for me or any one who have rampage II as this curve will be on some of the mother board fuzes (the small things on the mother board). but I just screwed it down and installed the cooler. but if any one with Rampage II get the normal Noctua NH-U12P not the SE 1366. other than that it`s great cpu cooler and dos`t make noise at all.

I have owned this filter for a few years now. We moved into a new place a few months ago, and our Ionic Pro sat in the garage for a while. I noticed my son started to cough in bed a lot before finally falling asleep, then cough again when he woke up. So I finally set the filter up in his room, let it run about half an hour, then put him to bed. He hasn't coughed once since, and now the filter lives in his room.

The ONLY problem I have with it is how incredibly bright the blue light is. I had to cover it up so it would not completely illuminate his room.

But I love this (totally silent) purifier and am going to buy one for each room of the house when they go on sale.

Feels solid and looks well constructed. Small form factor. Power cable fits nice and snug. There's a 2A fuse on the underside covered by a rubber cover. I think you need pliars to remove it b/c I was unable to with my fingers. When you plug in the APV12US the internal fan turns on and is VERY loud. Only a lot of road noise and music will mask the sound. [I previously owned a Xantrex XPower 175 Inverter and it was completely silent. Loved it, but it only has one 3-prong plug.] I bought the APV12US with the intention of using the EmPower connection on an international flight. The two 3-prong ports and USB port looked like nice options to have. Hopefully this unit will last, but seems like the fan might be the first thing to go.

The product is producing a high pitch sound when the internal fan activates. At first I thought it is coming from on open window in the car but eventually finds out it was coming from this thing. The form factor though is good, it is small and portable to carry in my laptop bag but using it in a car is very annoying for me because of the fan noise. I'll plan to return it. I'm not sure though if there's a better option out there.

I originally bought a cheaper 100w inverter w/one 3-prong plug and one usb plug. It beeped continuously (warning me that I was trying to draw too much power) when I plugged in my 90W Dell D600 laptop. It would power the laptop, but wouldn't charge the battery. It also wouldn't charge my iPhone. Decided to try this inverter since it looked like it was built better, had 2 3-prong outlets and was rated at 150w. It works flawlessly w/both my Dell and laptop. I haven't tried to plug two things into it simultaneously, but I'm just happy it works w/my laptop.

I wanted a PCO air purifier to have in my office, but this was too rinkydink for my tastes. I has four light-emitting diodes, one in each corner. I've seen small PCO filters that were made for use in a car that used LEDS, but for the space this fan takes up, I think it is way under lit. It seemed to add more odor to the room from its own off-gassing than it cleared up. I ran it for about two hours. It was very quiet on low speed at first, but then it started making a scraping/bearing noise. I sent it back and will try the NanoBreeze next. I don't have anything against Sunpentown. I have a humidifier and a portable air conditioner from them that I am very happy with. The PCO fan was unacceptable.

Oreck has been in the business for ages, unfortunately their vacuums and air purifiers don't seem to be up with the times in terms of technology, quality and design.

Oreck has made countless comparisons between their air purifiers and the Ionic Breeze.

I own both of them, and I find that I use my Ionic Breeze more often and now exclusively.

Oreck also boasts an ionizer to neutralize odors, but the ionizer is not that effective when the fan for the air filter is on. The ionizer unit could not ionize the air fast enough with the fan (even on the lowest setting), thus rendering it useless in neutralizing odors. My Ionic Breeze is silent and you notice negative ions and fresh air when it is on.

Oreck has been advertising that it moves more air than the Ionic Breeze, but that may be good for filtering dust but it does nothing to neutralize the air, as the ionizer needs slower moving air to ionize it. The fan on the Oreck is rather loud on top of that.

Cleaning the Oreck filter is a pain and time consuming, especially the metal ionizer slats which if you are not careful you could easily break the delicate wires that hold it together (like I did), thus resulting in a really crackling and buzzing noises and in the dark you could see the sparks coming from the wire. Because of this I had to get rid of my Oreck -- getting a replacement ionizer piece was not worth it. Seeing so many refurbished Oreck units out there confirms my poor experience with it.

The Ionic Breeze in comparison was easy to clean and I had mine for almost 10 years and it still works like new.

The Oreck maybe a decent charcoal air filter, but it's overpriced and there are lots of better air purifiers out there.

It's a piece of crap. It takes way to long to clean and it's not even worth it. I tried it for a month and I didn't notice any difference in the air. When it starts to crackle it needs to be washed, but when I took it out it already looked perfectly clean. When I took it in to return it (which they honored) I asked why it crackled so easily. He said if some dust gets stuck in there it will crackle. But isn't that the point??? It's a piece of crap, stay away, research it and get a real air purifier, don't be fooled by the commercial.

It's expensive and the ad on TV look impressive but don't be fooled. The unit will work reasonably well for awhile, but it is GIGANTIC PAIN TO CLEAN. There isn't really an more delicate way to put it. Truly, dealing with these units SUCKS HUGE You have to soak the cleaning cell for hours and hours, buy a ridiculously expensive cleaning agent and, and waste vast amounts of water to get this thing anywhere near clean. Then the Oreck people themselves recommend waiting up to 24 hours for the cell to dry. You can do all of this and then the damn thing starts popping (indicating that the filter should be cleaned again) just days or even hours later. It is maddening and I will NEVER buy another Oreck air cleaner. I won't even go into the amount of ozone they produce which is a very bad thing for folks like me that are asthma sufferers. There has to be a better item out there to keep you air fresh. Do your research and stay away from the ORECK.

"Doesn't move as much air as it should" 2010-07-24

Generally nice unit, however there's a Holmes unit which is almost identical except for the control panel.

The Holmes uses the same motor, fan blades and filters, but it tries to direct the air straight out. It is very forceful. This is good, in that it creates airflow around the room, collecting dust to be filtered out.

The Bionaire unit in contrast, does a poor job of directing the air. The air comes out sideways and even backwards, making it easy to be sucked back into the intake immediately without having had a chance to stir up new air to be filtered. Just cycling the same air from intake to out doesn't do much to clean the air overall.

I was lucky enough to grab this at a substantial clearance discount at a local retailer. I like the idea of air filters but am always leary of the replacement filter cost. This unit is supposed to allow you to not have to replace filters, but I will have to see how that actaully works over time. This is because the unit has two of the rectangle shaped filters usually found one at a time in smaller units. The "permanent" part of the filter is that you are supposed to vaccuum it off every so often. I suppose you can also replace them as well as they look to be the standard bionaire filters, but kind of defeats the whole permenant concept.

The unit looks nice, but I found the rear cover that goes over the filters to be ill fitting and actually used some clear packaging tape to hold it down. You cannot see the tape, but still if I had paid the full msrp for the unit I would have been a bit disappointed. Otherwise the fit and finish is good. Air is driven through the unit by two of the cylindrical style fans. It is fairly loud on the high setting, obviuosly less so on the lower ones but you are giving up how much is filtered out of the air at the lower setting. The recomendation on this unit is for rooms of 170 square feet or roughly 13'x13'.

It has 3 fan speed setting, 4 timer settings, an auto feature, a time to clean the filter light, and an ionizer button.

Doesn't seem like a lot of people have bought this product. I was considering a similar Honeywell model, and after comparing the boxes of both products at Target I went with the Bionaire. I admit my largest reason for going with the Bionaire was that the feature set was about the same as the Honeywell, but the Bionaire was more attractive. With my air purifier that replaced this one, I tried to hide the unit because it was ugly. This unit is looks good and I do not try to hide it at all. Further, the materials seem to be a better quality then the similar Honeywell models (I am going solely on look and feel).

When looking for an air purifier, I wanted a unit where I didn't have to replace any filters. The unit features two large permanent HEPA filters that every three months you clean by vacuuming the filters. There is a reminder light when it is time to do so. There is three speed settings. The lowest setting is very quiet. The highest setting is quite loud. I can sleep to both the low and medium settings. Not so with the high setting.

There is also a timer so after 2, 4, or 6 hours the unit will shut itself off. Another feature is an automatic setting which is supposed to monitor the quality of air and adjust the settings. I am not sure if the unit really does try to sense anything or just goes through a preset routine. I guess it is the preset routine. FInally, there is an ionizer. Some people say this is bad for the air, some say it is good for the air. I really have no idea what is true. I do know that after a while ionizer air seems dryer, which I do not like. This machine allows you to shut the ionizer off or on to suit whatever your take on the issue might be.

Overall, I am quite pleased with the purchase. There might be better units, but they will likely be 1) uglier (subjective I know), and 2) cost more. For disclosure, I have had the product for only two weeks, but I have ran it constantly taking it through the paces.

My spouse frequently has minor colds and sniffles and has been bugging me to buy a humidifier for some time. This last cold was the last straw, so I searched on amazon for a reasonably priced humidifier of reasonable quality. This one seemed to fit the bill.

The fist night was fine, though I was concerned that the sensor never varied from reading a relative humidity of 61%. Even so, the unit humidified the room and my spouse commented that it seemed to help.

The second night, my spouse said the unit had started emitting a high-pitched whine. I couldn't hear it, but that didn't matter.

The person I bought the unit for was not satisfied, so I have decided to return the humidifier to amazon. I am replacing it with a highly rated humidifier from Lowe's. Hopefully I will have better luck with the new one!

This humidifier seems to have some kind of malfunction. It cuts off when an area between the base unit and the reservoir fills up with water. So far it as work for only an hour or two at a time before this happens. When it happens, you have to unplug the entire unit (which resets everything to defaults) and empty out of the water. Very messy and time consuming. After you empty the water, the humidifier will work for another hour or two before you have to repeat the process. I am very disappointed.

It's been awhile since I wrote this review. At some point I decided to manipulate the float by hand and now the humidifier works fine. I think something might have been stuck. It is working and the air is much improved. I find I have to fill it twice a day--morning and before bed. I like the fact that I do not have to bother with a filter and am now very satisfied with this produce.

I am a physician and thought that it would be kinda nice to have supplemental O2 around after workouts. I found this item rather cumbersome and awkward. The music was useless. The oxygen face piece was quite cumbersome. I could not understand even how to bend it the right way to get a successful O2 flow( Me, an M.D). I guess it would be ok for blow by O2 for a preemie. A nasal cannula and humidified O2 is more of what I was expecting or at least something that would give me more direct O2 delivery. It was more like putting a straw on a fan and blowing it around your face. Save your money. A sound machine and air filter is a lot cheaper.

I did some research on oxygen concentrators before choosing this unit. The reason why I choose this unit instead of units that

much higher oxygen concentration strengths was because it was more dummy proof and required no filters or as much maintenance (at least on paper anyway). Also the unit is less bulkier than mainstream medical oxygen concentrators out there (some of them are actually quite large and take up a fair amount of real estate).

The unit looks like it uses headphones for music.. but actually the music simply comes out of the unit itself (and seems to be mostly nature sounds... nothing all that special). First time I did take it out.. I did notice the strange plastic smell that came out when I ran the oxygen to my nose. Kind of sounds like a cat that is constantly purring. Not really loud, but I wouldn't take it to the ilbrary.

Would I buy this unit again? Hmmm, I don't know. Although I do get a better feeling from the increased oxygen level, I have to wonder if getting a unit that has much higher concentration level would acheive much better results. It's not bad for what it does... just realize that 30% oxygen concentration is only going to get you at a certain level.

Just an update: It seems that the airflow of this unit is much lower than that of conventional oxygen concentrators - which is why the price of this is low. I suspect because of the low oxygen flow, that what air you do get in is mixed with the surrounding air, meaning that you're only getting 20-28% oxygen concentrated air. Maybe even less, if you don't get the air exactly in your nose... I did manage to attach a canula to the device (you need an adaptor for this), and it has helped a little.

Very good job of protecting camera. The only reason I gave it four stars was because I was a little leary about the sturdiness of the belt loop hook. That could just be my take on it.It may be rock solid. However I leave the zipper slightly unzipped so that I can hook the camera strap too as a precaution.

Got this as a gift and noticed right away that it was way too loud and the only way to stop it from being that way was to tilt it upright or beat on it. It was not just my unit either. My sister had the same problem with hers. The discs are virtually obsolete in the store now so you either have to order them online or look on e-bay. Sorry...not worth it in my opinion. Glade Plug-in's work better than this.

Why did they stop making this! This thing was the best. There is no constant spraying of chemicals into the air that would over power the room and make you gag as you spray it

It ran for about an hour and constantly sent out a fresh scent that radiates around your room. The scent would linger for about twenty minutes after it stopped sometimes more, depending on room. I used mine in my office where I smoke cigars, it does a great job masking the odors, it lasted longer after it ended because the room was closed off by a door that remains shut. The best thing was that it mixed up the scents. It always caught me off guard when it changed, it was very relaxing. I found the cartridges lasted longer than what they recommended, it was not as strong but for a sealed room it worked great and I got about two more months added to the disc.

It is hard to find the disks, Yankee Candle makes a couple good ones, their expensive but for what you get its worth it.

I would pick one up while there still around. My has been working since it came out, never had a problem and use it all the time.

They need to come up with a similar replacement for this thing. Sprays are two strong and disappear to quick. Candles are dangerous and release lead and mercury into the air. I don't trust those plug in unit. They get really Hot.

I purchased the Febreeze scentstories player based on all of the wonderful reviews I read. I too purchase a lot of air freshners and I figured that this would be a better purchase in the long run... but it was not!! I received the scentstories on Friday October 25th. The Febreeze Scentstories player is a nice looking machine but the scent is not strong enough at all! I originally wanted to put this in the bathroom but the bathroom does give off moisture so I decided against it. I ended up placing it in my small kitchen. I have no sinus problems or problems smelling so I know it was not me but you have to be darn near up close and personal to this machine in order to actually smell the fragrance. I certainly do not smell it throughout my whole apartment. One review I read states that they can smell it throuhout the whole house/apartment. They must reside in a very small place because I have to be in the room up close to the machine in order to smell the fragrance! Speaking of fragrance: That is one thing I could agree with the other reviewers on. The scentstories that I have; the one that came with the package: (Exploring a Mountain Trail)smells so good. I love all five scents. I could not tell you which one I love more! My problem is as I have stated from the beginning is I CAN HARDLY SMELL IT!!! If Febreeze could make this in a aresol can form and I can spray it AS MUCH AS I WANTED, THAT WOULD BE A DIFFERENT STORY!! In conclusion, I am not happy with this product at all and I am seriously thinking about sending this back.

My husband is very sensitive to smells of all sorts while I love them. This product allows me to experience a wide-variety of smells over the course of 2.5 hours (30 minutes each unless you "fast forward"), and not have any lingering smells shortly after it turns off. I got two original febreze scentstories players about a year and a half ago. I ended up giving one away to a friend because I liked it so much and she needed it more than I did. I liked it right away, but I found some of the Febreze scents to be a bit on the sweet or chemical side. About a month ago I got an email from Yankee saying they were now carrying their scents for the scentstories player. I've always liked Yankee scents and so I bought four discs for the holidays -- autumn celebration, give thanks, farm something or other, and Merry Christmas. I have to say I am completely taken with the product now. We keep the player in the front foyer and it spreads the varying scents throughout the house without being overpowering, and it also gives a great first impression for anyone who's visiting. The other day I met guests at the front door and hugged the wife and she said "you smell great," but it wasn't me she was smelling -- it was the cranberry chutney scent. I cheated this morning and opened the Merry Christmas one while my wife and kids are out of the house, and I'm enjoying it, particularly the Christmas Wreath scent which is spot-on. My only criticisms are that I wish I could set the player to stay on for longer, like up to four hours (maybe a hold button to stay on a scent?) , and the appearance of the player is unsightly in a decorated space -- it looks like a medical appliance.

Oh, and Yankee Candle -- please carry the discs in your stores and distributors, and think about creating a white tea fragrance or three.

I wanted to love this humidifier. I chose this simple evaporative unit over ultrasonic types for a number of reasons. I didn't want to deal with white dust cause I knew our tap water here would gunk up those mineral cartridge filters fast. This unit also looked relatively easy to clean - replace the wick filter and clean out the removable tub (no gunk on electronic parts). In addition, this unit is about as stylish as humidifiers get, at least from a reputable humidifier manufacturer. Sounds great.

The problem is its performance. My bedroom measured 30% relative humidity before use. I was kinda hoping to hit 40%. When running at night only, on the higher setting, all doors closed, I wake up to 33%. When I leave it on all day, then shut the doors and go to bed, I wake up to maybe 37%. Now 40% may be an arbitrary number since I don't know what 40% specifically feels like, but so far, my throat and nasal passages have felt just as dry upon waking as they did pre-humidifier. Disappointing. I suppose the max output spec is what I need to focus on for my next humidifier purchase. This one is only 1.4 gal/day if I recall correctly. It may be time to go ultrasonic.

I have had a new humidifier every year for 5 years until this year! I bought the AOS last year and was very happy with it. It is still working as well as it did when I bought it.

Likes:

-Very quiet, both on high and low. I use low and it has no problem keeping my room comfortable (my room is only 20x10 and I keep the door closed).

-Great water refill design. You just pour water into the top of this and it fills the internal tank. On models with tanks, I had to use the bath tub to fill my previous units because the tank wouldn't fit in the sink. I just keep a bucket that fits in my sink in a cabinet to fill this up.

-The replacement filter is only $17 with free shipping. This is pretty reasonable considering it lasts a year for me.

Dislikes:

Not much. Could hold more water. With this design, it wouldn't take much and wouldn't matter if it were "too heavy."

Conclusion:

Is this more expensive than other humidifiers of its size? Yes. But its also the best. You get what you pay for.

If I needed another or if this one broke, I'd buy it again.

I bought this unit thinking about design as well as the way it works. I didn't want white dust and this was a perfect size for a bedroom. Its simplistic design and filling is the best part. Just fill it from the top, it has a orange indicator ring when full and the small inner dome drops inside when empty. The unit always keeps the wick wet by floating on the water inside, unless you let it run dry. It is pretty quiet on low and is noticeable on high but not that bad. You can't see the water come out as it is evaporation (not ultrasonic type) from the wick and blown out the outer ring on top (not the bottom), but it does work well and I no longer wake up with a dry mouth/nose. Well I cant give it a five star as yet. I haven't priced the wicks and I've only had it for a month, but I'm going to buy one for my living room. I wrote to air-o-swiss and they said they are looking into making a air purifier with the same design

I've owned and operated another AOS product for many years. I was recently in the market for a new humidifier/evaporator, so I visited the best retail store(accepts all coupons and has great return policy) with the best AOS selection around-Bed, Bath and Beyond. The egg shaped AOS unit looks certainly appealed to me, as well as the price. So here are my thoughts:

Design: Excellent. Red DOT Award Winner. Light,sleek and user friendly

Quality: NOT MADE IN CHINA. The unit is made in Switzerland. I think the only itmes exported to the US from Switzerland these days are watches, humidifiers, gourmet chocolate and cookies.

Use: The only humidifier I know of that you can fill like a flower pot. It is so simple to use. The finger slider switch at the front has only three modes for simple adjustment.

Noise: Level 1 is quiet. Level 2 is slightly louder without doubt, but nothing to really complain about, although, if used in a bedroom the sound my be too loud. I use the unit in a living room adjacent to a television and the noise is just background white noise to me.

Cleaning: Take your time and read the directions and you'll be fine. After the first time, "you'll be able to do it in your sleep". Use the EZCAL descaler(cleaning accessory) to help avoid buildup of minerals in the base. Dust and dirt does build up in the evaporator wick(replacement accessory), but dirt in the wick is better than dirt in your lungs. If you maintain the unit as instructed, it will run well forever.

Performance: In Colorado, it is very dry, so this little machine must be on 24/7. It probably will work best in smaller rooms. The specs from AOS will give you an idea of the ideal size room for use. MY unit sits on a hardwood floor without any warping or damage.

I bought this because my macbook pro is my little gem that lights me life and i want to protect it and keep it nice. I knew I needed a cover because sometimes I eat around my laptop and just didnt want to screw anything up, so I bought the one that was available at my local apple store.

At first I really liked this because I knew I was protecting the keyboard and I just kept repeating that the feel of the silicone would eventually become unnoticeable. Wrong. It drives me crazy and I've had this for about a month. It has slowed down my typing and I find that I am making more typos. I type a lot and write a lot of important papers and it's just annoying to keep going back to fix it. The silicone is just too thick.

Not only that, but the sleeve does carry and catch dust, particles, everything. I knew I had to clean this, but everything sticks. And somehow I have particles underneath of the sleeve, which is what this is supposed to be shielding from.

I just ordered the moshi, thinner, keyboard protector. I don't expect that to be perfect either, but sweet jesus just let me type!

I gave it two stars because it does fulfill it's purpose. Otherwise, I wish I could return it.

so I got this air cooler for my room in Los Angeles for the constant 90+ degree daytime weather. I bought it not expecting the strength of an air conditioner but to provide enough cooling for my room.

It turns out (once I did more thorough research post-purchase) that there are several important things about air coolers:

-It can cool the air up to 12 degrees -- but only when you're directly in front of the airstream. Leaving it on and leaving the door closed will probably do nothing except humidify the air and cause potential damage to electronics and other objects that need to stay relatively dry.

-Putting ice in the water tank will prove to be an unnecessary task, since even when the ice is initially in the tank the temperature will not be significantly lower and the ice will be melted well within the first 15 minutes of use.

I was extremely disappointed with the results I got from this cooler, but at the same time I should've known exactly what it was capable of before I bought it. The description on this page does seem to leave out some problems that an air cooler has. To remedy this I'm buying techni ice packs that can supposedly keep the water icy cold (apparently even colder if your freezer is capable of doing it) for an extended period of time. All in all, if you can't install an a/c unit and want something to keep you cool as long as you're in front of it, buy this. If you want something that can cool down your entire room, buy bigger, better air coolers that can blow the cooled air faster and stronger around the room.

With summer's 2010 heatwave index in full blast nearly everyday since June, I've been basking in the scorching heat profusely sweating without an air conditioner. My bedroom window, unlike most typical windows, opens sideways as oppose to vertical. With intense search in the cyberspace world day after day all the while sweating up a massive storm, every portable air conditioning unit weighs approx. 75 lbs. (34.12 kilograms) which a petite person like myself, who does not work-out, is unable to physically HAND carry this gargantuan machine up one flight of stairs in a stifling hot house. I'm certain that no man who secretly admires me is willing for either chivalry or compassion straight from sincerity to help me physically hand carry a gargantuan machine up one flight of stairs in a stifling house. (Sorry, no short cuts... as there is no elevator)!

In my search efforts via Amazon. com, I've encountered Unistar DF158 Multi-functional Portable Air Cooler by Kaito Electronics which shipping weighs 11 lbs., however the actual machine is only 7 lbs. It does the job for a small room with the windows open and drops the temperature at least twelve degrees less. My petite couture is capable to lift seven pounds, without compliant. Thankfully, water and ice are the only tools needed as there is no hose attachment to a window required. The water and ice lasts for approx. eight hours breaking through the unbearable summer heatwave of the night, which allows me to sleep with ease. The multi features of air purifier, humidifier, cooler, with timer plus oscillation option and natural or sleep modes are conveniently functional in usage. I rate Kaito Electronics, Inc. four starts as the water tray is non-detachable to drain water with a small knob allows drainage which is inconveniently messy. There is no remote control. I do not recommend this air cooler for gargantuan rooms as it does not serve well.

This worked ok for an air cooler the first couple of times then it had problems with the control panel and it wouldn't shut off. Kaito Electronics helped me get it back and credited me. Thank you. But I nearly spent the same in shipping (to and fro) for the product. It would've been cool if they paid for the shipping back to them. Oh well, it's just an air cooler people. Don't expect A/C like results. It'll cool a small area by maybe 5-10 degrees. Not much for me.

This is a very attractive product. The design will compliment any room decor. The oscillating feature works very well and if you are sitting within 6 feet of the unit it does a good job of providing cool air. BUT it does not cool a 1100 cubic feet room very well. With a thermostat within 6 feet of the unit, I noticed a 3 degree drop in temperature, which is pretty good. But when the thermostat was moved to the other side of a 12 X 12 room, there was no temperature change at all. The fan was not powerful enough to move the air that distance.

The unit would work better if the fan was more powerful. Also, the water/ice tray did not close completely and it would be a good design feature if the tray was insolated to increase the life of the ice used. I did not receive any ice packs with the unit so I used cold packs from a first aid kit. Again within 6 feet of the oscillating fan the Unistar DF158 does provide some cooling.

I do not understand why this product is advertised as an air cleaner, the micro screen on the back of the unit did not trap odors or fine dust.

A strange thing was that the humidifier/cooler function turned itself off for no know reason. Since Colorado is a rather dry area, it could not have been because of high humidity.

I believe that with a more powerful fan, cold packs that fit in an insolated water/ice compartment, and a negative ionizer that really works, this could be an excellent product. Until then I will keep looking because the Unistar DF158 Multi-functional 4-in-1 Portable Air Cooler, as it is currently designed, is not what I am hoping for.

Would I recommend the unit: Yes, for a small room, perhaps 8 X 10 this product will work.

Thinkpad X41 tablets and X40 owners with the 1.8 inch hard drives SHOULDN'T BE FOOLED INTO PURCHASING THIS DRIVE BECAUSE IT WON'T FIT UNLESS YOU DREMEL / SAW OFF A SECTION OF YOUR PALMREST !

The ZIF connector requires an X4 to sidemount the drive and locate a nearly exotic double elbow cable and PATA <--> ZiF adapter before this thing will replace your existing Hitachi / Samsung 1.8 spindle.

Even with the Addonics Toshiba 1.8 Zif 2.5 Ide Connector and despite flexing the cabling as much as you want, the drive won't fit inside an X41 or X40 tablet or hinger unless you plan to grind out palmrest or leave it hanging over and dangerously fastened just by ribbon cable and eliminate your stylus silo.

The owners manual is a bad translation of Korean to English seemingly translated with a 1997 version of Babela but even aside from laughable grammar the fact the manual contradicts itself by offering two opposite descriptions of PIN 1 and within two pages of eachother can be hazardous and potentially smoking the Mtron into a warranty claim before you ever get to experience its speed firsthand.

A personal hint is follow the first description of Pin 1 since the 2nd and contradictory illustration will reverse the polarity and shut your Mtron down permanently.

X40 / X41's are better served by 32GB SaberTooth-Z 1.8-inch PATA ZIF SSD Upgrade and the Addonics Toshiba 1.8 Zif 2.5 Ide Connector and for comparable performance with less cost.

The OqO 02 barely fits it since the SSD's ZiF connector is extremely temperamental and hardly as compatible as the items description purports it to be and reqires a tremendous amount of patience to insert and shimmy before recognized by the 02's BIOS. Since we had this mTron lying around without a home we persevered into squeezing into an OqO but even OqO's are better off with Kinspec SSD's as they're verified even designed for the 02's along with a community of like minded fanatics instead of the specious universal fits most claims of the mTron.

The explanation is best provided by TRF and JT as their insights at OqoAsis have revealed OqO's with Hitachi spindles seem to be equipped with thick cables which are unaccommodating to anything other than a 4,500 Hitachi. For the uninitiated, TRF and JT are widely considered by the community including OqO as pre-eminent authorities on the inner workings since they seem to have the most experience voiding more warranties and splitting more $2,000+ OqO's than anyone else, even superseding TankGirl and her groundbreaking proof of concept HSDPA years earlier. The entire 02 community owes all three a level or gratitude for dispelling many of the myths and proportionally resizing the mysticism that surrounded these high priced half pint PC's.

RocketDisk's misrepresentation of Thinkpad compatibility is overshadowed by a terrible incompetence in every aspect of the purchase process from billing to shipping guaranteed to elongate the experience and make it overall miserable.

Placed into HP Mini Netbook and formatted, installed Windows and it ran good for about 1/2 hour. Then upon reboot would no longer boot. Windows repair says the drive is no longer 32GB, instead it is 15MB (megabyte). I checked MTRONs website and their FAQ says this means the drive is dead. There are other brand ZIP PATA SSDs on the market, and I would urge people to consider one of those instead.

I ordered this drive from RocketDisk and received it very quickly. I wanted to replace the 16GB flash drive that came in my HP Mini 1030NR netbook. The (lack of) speed of the standard flash was slowing down everything I was doing with my netbook. After following a video tutorial I found at jkkmobile on how easy it is to get access to the flash drive location, I had the new drive installed in no more than 10 minutes. It takes a bit of time to reinstall the OS and applications but if you persevere it is worth the effort. I am running the Windows 7 RC and have to say it is way better than Windows XP that came on the netbook.

The netbook runs much better with the new Mtron drive. Everything is much smoother and faster. Highly recommended if you are frustrated with the awful performance of the standard flash drive that came with your netbook.

"BREATHE BETTER AND SPEND LESS" 2009-12-06

I've been running the older version of this air purifier 24 X 7 for over 10 years...maybe 12. It is backed up against a wall in a vaulted-ceiling room between a piano and organ where cats like to play. It takes up very little space and consumes a great deal of dust and hair. The exhaust blows straight up the wall which is perfect for this location. Recently, it began emitting a high-pitch, undulating squeal. I assumed that the sealed bearing on the motor shaft was wearing out. So, I ordered this new Hunter Air Purifier. In the mean time, I placed the old squeaky cleaner on its back and soaked the motor shaft with CRC Heavy Duty silicone spray while turning the shaft with my hand for 5 minutes. That was a month ago and it is still running as smoothly and quietly as new. The new cleaner is still in the box, however, I did test it to make certain that it was in good working order.

How would you like to save a ton of money?

Just like printer companies sell their printers at a bargain and then charge a fortune for the ink cartridges, air-cleaner manufacturers employ the same tactics with their disposable filters. Check their prices. OUCH! $30.00 to $60.00. For years I've been using the same pleated, high-efficiency filters that I use in our central heat and air system. I buy them by the case lot(12), online from ACE Hardware for $4.00 each (free shipping to store) and cut them to fit the Hunter Air Purifier. ACE runs frequent sales.

Now, how about the expensive charcoal-pre-filter? Check out the universal replacement pre-filter 38002. They cost about $10.00 each. I have found them in bulk for as low as $8.00 apiece. Cut them to fit. Even the leftover pieces can be easily connected with the enclosed male strips of the hook & loop (Velcro).

Of all the air cleaners running in our home, this Hunter is the least expensive to run 24 X 7 because I can make alternative filters. This is not the case with the large barrel-shaped cleaners and filters that circulate air 360 degrees. When the barrel-shaped air cleaners die, I replace them with these Hunter wall-huggers.

When my back is against the wall, I don't go to the mall. I look for a bargain. That usually begins with Amazon.Com.

I cannot believe what a great job this air purifier does. It is so quite that you forget that it is there. I have asthma and purchased this hoping it would help. At first I thought that it was not working but gradually I started feeling better and the dust (I live in a leaky old house)has gradually dissapeared from the living area. The only drawback is having to clean the filters often but that is easier than dusting ceilings!

My house uses forced air for heating. The disadvantage of such a system is that it distributes the dust in the air everywhere in the house. However, it is supposed to be possible to filter out the dust. Over the years, I have steadily increased the quality of the filter that I use for my forced air heating system. However, until now I have not noticed any obvious difference in my allergic reactions that seem to start with the heating season.

There are two cats in my house. I have read that cat dander, tiny flakes of cat skin shed by the cats, is five times smaller than household dust particles. It stays in the air much longer than ordinary dust before it settles. Because of its small size it requires a more efficient filter to get it out of the air.

Until this year, I have used of variety of filters with mixed results. However, this year, I started using the 3M Advanced Allergen Filters, the ones in the blue wrapper. These have a 3M Microparticle Performance Rating of 1500, but do not have a MERV rating listed. MERV stands for Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value and is a number from 1 to 12, produced from a test designed by the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). A higher MERV rating indicates better filter performance. 3M uses particle data between 0.3 and 1.0 micron size to calculate a Microparticle Performance Rating or MPR. The higher the MPR, the better the filter. However, higher rated filters cost more.

The difference made by the Advanced filter was immediately obvious. My running nose stopped running. I assume that the new Advanced filters must be taking out more of the dust in the air including the cat dander. I have not noticed a change in the speed of the circulated air. The additional cost of the Advanced filter is worth it if you have allergies or pets. However, if you are happy with a lower-rated and lower-cost filter, then you can continue using that one. I suggest that you check Amazon and vendors on the web to get the best price.

I have been looking for a good filter for a long time and I could not locate this brand of filter in my size at any of my local ACE Hardware, Lowes or Home Depot Store. I purchased a 4 filter pak and I am only on my first filter, and the filter states it is suppose to help control dust and allergies but at this time I really do not know how much better it has been performing vs the cheaper filters I had been using. I guess once I change the filter in 2 1/2 months I may be able to see how much dust etc had been trapped in the filter.

Up here in the deep north it is essential to have humidifier if you have musical instruments, or anything made out of nice wood. I have tried several different options, and evaporative humidifiers are the best. This one has enough nice features to warrent an excellent rating. The main great feature is that it is easy to add water to the system. The tanks remove easily, and can be filled from the kitchen sink (they are too tall for filling in a bathroom sink). In the dead of winter expect to fill it daily, but fortunately this is big enough to only need filling once per day. Other nice features include a fan speed control (pump humidity in fast because you were gone all weekend and its dry), or quiet. At low speed settings you barely know its on. I also like the optional air cleaning evaporator. It apparently slows down air flow, but that seems trivial since the fan can simply be turned up.

I bought 2 of these a year ago. At first they were fine. Then they started squeaking and clucking and convulsing like an epileptic mouse being eaten by a drunk chicken.

Then a couple months later they were as dead as the mouse. They stopped making noise at least.

Strangely, the motors stilled turned slowly, but not enough to move any air.Probably a cheap electronic component failure.

And that is why I rated this product a 1.

I purchased this Bionairre tower fan because it had a remote for operation. I used it for four and a half years, and it began to vibrate, gradually sounding louder and louder. I decided to buy another fan of the same type again from Amazon. Upon buying the fan I noted it had a five year warranty. I contacted the manufacturer and they sent me a new fan with no questions asked. Now I have the one I bought and the one that the manufacturer sent me. I've got two good fans that I really like and one that gave me good service for over four years. I'm satisfied, and have recommended this fan to others too.

I've had this fan for about a year now... couldn't bring myself to throw it away before I even moved out of my apartment. It worked fairly well for a while, except for the breeze function it has (winds the speed up and down to simulate a breeze). After a couple of months, I would be woken in the middle of the night by a very loud shrieking/whistling/whining noise. Trying to describe this noise is nearly impossible, but take my word: it is DEFINITELY not something you want to hear in your waking moments. If you get lucky, messing with the fan a bit makes the noise go away... but whether its gone for days or weeks, it always comes back. Do NOT buy this one, keep looking...

A shortcoming with the Bionaire Tower Fan is that it is fairly noisy in operation, which may be fine in some situations, but is not so good in a quiet office environment, which is where I had intended to use it.

Because of that, I bought a different fan for the office and have moved the Bionaire elsewhere, where it gets occasional use and where the noise is less bothersome. In its new role, it is adequate for the occasional use it gets, and the timer is useful.

Overall, the fan has been reasonable, but if I were buying again I would choose a different design.

This is the first time I have ever written a review of a product, but I do find them so helpful when I am buying a product and like to read them before buying something. I have owned this cover I (Green Onions RT-KB04 for the Mac) for about 2 weeks and unfortunately I am going to have to return it.

I bought it for my Macbook 13.3" and although it states it is designed for this laptop, it really doesn't fit very well. It sits up on the keys with a lot of space between the keys and the cover and feels awkward to me when I type. You also have to push down a bit harder on the keys to get output. It is the correct size for the keyboard in dimension and does cover over all the keys. Perhaps this is the way it is supposed to be, but I think I would prefer something a bit more snug. Also, while it doesn't move while you type, it does lift off pretty easily and this is probably due to the fit.

Despite all this, I gave it 3 stars because I do like the feel of it, the look of it and the quality seems to be very good. It also does protect the keyboard very well from spills and crumbs. Perhaps it would be better on a different keyboard or maybe it is my ignorance.

A friend bought this product a while ago, but just decided to have me install it. I installed it on his computer (which runs XP), but my up-to-date Vista laptop cannot connect to his router wirelessly. It detects it, but that's it. Even using all the same settings and right password, I can't get Internet access. D-Link will NOT support this product even though he just opened it, so BUYER BEWARE! I would not recommend ANY D-Link product. His previous wireless router was also a D-Link, and it stopped working not long after it was successfully installed.

This is an awful product. It crashes and reset often. I had it repaced by DLink and still no luck. To make matters worse DLink tech support are rude and clueless. I have 2 other friends with the same device and similar problems. There may be an intrinsic design flaw with this device.

I finally replaced the router with another brand and has been very happy since.

The device was NOT purchased via Amazon.

Note to Amazon - allow a 0 star rating which is what the device deserves.

Like others here I've been plagued by the frequent reboots. It works just fine for hours and hours and hours (which for me means I've got it configured correctly) and then for no apparent reason it reboots itself. Nobody asked it to, it just does. If I could disable rebooting that would be a start. I'd be perfectly happy if the whole reboot mechanism didn't work and I had to unplug it if I want it to reboot. Then it wouldn't have the power to do it of it's own accord.

All the solutions offered here are unique to the person's own situation. Changing channels, turning of SSID transmission, switching security settings, switching off wireless mice etc. None of that should be necessary if the thing is capable of working just fine most of the time. What is it that makes it think it needs to reboot once in a while.

"Does the job, but noisy." 2010-02-03

I received this item just before Christmas 2009. Our house was so dry I was slowly pruning. At 1500 sq.ft. on the main floor with 9 foot ceilings it keeps us quite comfortable and does the job. Have been running it straight since early December and no mechanical problems. Be aware of the following:

LOOKS: This cabinet model looks better on the website than in person. It is a darker brown than shown (not as orange) but still a pleasing colour. It is made of plastic and has a woodgrain pattern, but doesn't quite live up to getting away with it, mostly because of the slightly warped top vent (yes, vents from top, cannot put stuff on top of here without blocking the ventilation). Ours comes out of the plastic hinge at the back and does not seat well in all grooves, but probably not noticeable to guests. It needs to sit with it's back against a wall, as the back of the unit is not covered by a nice woodgrain cover, although it is brown plastic. You also notice the black filter hooked on the outside back sucking "filtered" air into the unit. My favourite part is it's on four wheels, so it is very easy to move and vacuum around on my wood floors. Unless you have shag rug, it should also be fairly easy to move on a short pile rug.

CONTROLS: It has two dials "humidity control" and "variable airflow". The humidity control does not go by numbers (i.e. 50% - 75%) so you don't really know the current level of your home; however it does allow you to set low / comfort zone / high arond the dial, and will toggle off when it reaches the desired humidity level set. We set ours 1/4 turn above the comfort zone and that works well. Note that setting it on high still doesn't peel your wallpaper, you can't even see the humidity coming out like you can on an ultrasonic BUT it does do the trick, as confirmed by the empty bottles I'm constantly refilling. The variable airflow dial goes from OFF/COMFORT ZONE (which starts immediately from off) to HIGH. This unit is LOUD!! When they say comfort zone they mean for your EARS. I only put it up to 12o'clock position (medium, I guess) when I'm out of the room, and any higher is just noisy with HIGH being like a battering ram. The comfort zone is best and since we situate it right by our kitchen/nook and living room we keep it low. (I know what you're thinking - we have taken it apart and rechecked our setup, it is correct with nothing unusual accidentally left inside, no real reason it should be this loud. Only thing I can think of is plastic rumbling on four wheels with the echo of our hardwood floors - maybe it won't be as much of an issue for you).

BOTTLES: There are two large 2.5 gallon bottles that rest on the left and right of inside cabinet. They are easy to fill and the unit comes with a tube to help you fill from your tap. Also comes with one small bottle of bacteriostatic additive to get you going. We use distilled water so we don't have the hard water build up in the bottom reservoir, you may want to use soft/distilled if you can get it or put an additive in to dissolve minerals. The bottles have handles on both top and bottom so when you turn them over to place them in it is easy to handle the weight. We don't spill any water when doing this and it's a great design. Also good are two "refill" lights that light up orange when each bottle is empty. They are easy to see through the grill on top as you're walking by, but not obtrusive. Very easy to refill while the other still is going, no need to turn unit off.

NOISE and PRICE: It's the only big drawback, and the price at $200 USD is steep for what it is. Would love to see real wood for that price, as there really isn't much to the unit but a small fan, filter, and plastic.

All in all, there aren't alot of different makes on the market to choose from, especially ones that don't look utilitarian. This will do what you're looking for but be aware if you have unusual dryness in your area and need to pump humidity with the control on HIGH, the noise from this baby will stop you from hearing your baby monitor and could keep you and baby up at night; otherwise, sleep soundly in the "Comfort Zone". If you like power supports screen protectors and need a nice slim case for your iPod touch then this is it. Although the case doesnt really provide much protection and its really slim and does protect the back of the touch. In addition it comes with the two screen protectors one is the anti-glare (matte) and the other is the crystal (glossy) one. Honestly I would suggest this combination over any other case except ofcourse the Speck Candy shell. THe hard case doesnt fully protect the ipod touch especially the bottom dock area. But like I said this case is really slim and sleek and you can use your iPod with just about any accessorie since the case doesnt come in the way. Good deal if you can get this for around $30 or less.

Not sure you'll find a slimmer case than this. The matte finish is comfortable in the hand, and does not show fingerprints much. Of course, a very small portion of the front chrome bezel is left exposed, and it clearly does not provide anywhere near the same level of drop protection as other more bulky cases.

I really like the crystal film screen protector that comes with this as well. Very durable, though it does not extend across the entire screen, leaving a mm or two exposed around all the edges. The package contains anti-glare as well. Super easy to apply the static-based protector, absolutely no problems, unlike complaints commonly heard with respect to Invisible Shield-type products that use liquid to assist in the adhesive process.

I've been using for a couple weeks, and have no concerns with scratching due to particles that lodge between the case and the ipod touch.

Objectively speaking, it is ridiculous we'd choose to pay this much for a piece of cheap plastic and a couple small screen protectors, but the purchase definitely provides ease of mind, especially if you've got kids around or are concerned about minor scrapes/bumps/scratches.

I have had a problem with my Canon Digital Rebel that I tracked down to the Digipower BP-CN511 battery (7.4v 1300mAh). The battery fits well, holds it charge, but when I take photos it often corrupts the image stored on the flash card. Really weird, but verifable. When I use the original Canon battery no problems. Seems funny the camera powers up fine, but when it goest to store the image the data it is getting corrupted.

I had an incident where the Canon Digital Rebel blew a fuse and I had to pay $200 to have it fixed (symptoms was the battery part got really hot, and the camera acted completely dead).

I picked my battery up at Best Buy, which seems to no longer carry the item. I'd strongly recommend AGAINST buying this non-OEM battery for your Canon.

Looked at Digipower's 1 year warranty and you need original proof of purchase and $5 to get a replacement. Given my $200 repair and lost photos I'm not going to risk it again with them.

I purchased this battery to save some money. I didn't want to fork out the huge price for the Canon BP511. However, this battery is a complete waste of money. It took maybe 50 photos before I would have to recharge it. Now, it won't even hold a charge. If I want to use it, I have to charge it and use it right away to get my 30 photos.

I am hoping that there are other non-name brand batteries out there that are equivalent to Canon, but this one is definitely not it.
